Social Skills Group For Homeschooled GT/2e Elementary Students
Does your child:
- Have difficulty getting along with peers
- Struggle to adapt his or her own behavior to fit the situation at hand
- Get “stuck” reacting to situations in non-helpful ways
- Have trouble shifting his or her thoughts and plans around the plans of others
- Struggle to see others’ perspectives
Gifted and twice-exceptional (2e) students often lag behind their peers in the development of social and emotional skills. These social struggles can be improved through instruction and practice. PEAK Exceptional Services is offering a Social Skills Group in our Northglenn office this summer. We will be using the Superflex© group curriculum, to help students entering grades 2-4 improve their social thinking. Our goal is to help gifted and 2e students develop and practice social skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Group will be limited to six (6) participants.
1:00 – 2:00 PM
Group Begins on Tuesday September 12, 2017 and will be held every Tuesday (except 10/31) through November 7.
Investment: $400 (8 sessions)
If your child would benefit from some help with social skills training and you are interested in registering him or her for our fall social skills group, please email us with your name, your child’s name and grade in school, and a phone number where we can reach you. We will call you to schedule a brief screening to ensure the group is a good fit for your child’s needs.
